Stuff I Just Gotta Share..

Is there a big cover up in the US health care market?

James Sheridan thinks there is and he’s written about it in a book called The Pandora Prescription.

I’ve not got a copy yet as it’s not on amazon.co.uk, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for it as it looks like a VERY INTERESTING read.

I reckon it’s going to be one of hose books that generates a lot of controversy and “Buzz” as they say in the marketing world.

The author even claims that the book hs only been released in major bookstores after tens of thousands of people signed a petition to get make it happen.

Have you got a Facebook.com account yet?

You’ve probably heard of FaceBook.com already if you spend any time on the internet, or have any friends who do, it’s rapidly becoming the latest internet place to be and is ranked the 7th most popular site on the internet according to Alexa.com, that’s pretty impressive for a site that’s only been sround for a year or so…

Part of the secret to it’s success is that it has certain “Viral” elements, like when you sign up yourself you can automatically invite all your friends from your email address book, depending on which email system you use, but most of the popular ones are covered, so each time someone new joins up they tend to end up inviting a whole bunch of other people.

Train Strain

The was a logo used a while back here in the UK by one of the train companies “let the train take the strain”.

Sounds cool right?

and admit I enjoy travelling by train, it’s an opportunity to sit back, relax and read a book, listen to some music, or mess around n the laptop, right?

not always…

I was travelling on a train few months ago on a either a friday or saturday afternoon and the train was full of a lot of “happy” sports fans, many of who were still working on being “happy” and I realised that I wasn’t keen on the idea of having “happy” spilt all over my laptop. It was one of those occaisions when you’re really glad that mp3 players were invented, you can just plug in and be in your own little world for the journey.

YouTube without the video…

OK, so maybe it’s not going to be quite as popular as youtube, but I reckon it’ll bring a smile to people’s faces, and maybe even a laugh or three..

I spent an hour or so yesterday setting up a new blog, the actual setup only took 1o mins as setting up a blog is a piece of cake if you know what you’re doing (how to set up a blog), what took the time was adding a months worth of scheduled posts so it’s “hands free” for me for the next few weeks.

I reckon you know that phones are starting to compete seriously with camera’s for the must have photography gadget when the digital camera sites start promoting them, and I’ve just started receiving emails from a couple of the digital camera gadget sites I like that are promoting a new 5 Mega Pixel phone from Samsung…

samsung g600 5 mp camera phoneThe Samsung SGH-G600 mobile phone has a 5 Mega Pixel camera which is more than my (admitedly somewhat old) Pentax Option digital camera!

My current phone, the second Samsung I’ve owned, is the previous model to this new phone, the SGH-U600, which is pretty much the same size and has a 3.2 MP camera, which I thought was pretty good, especially with the price of memory cards now, it’s easy enough to get a 1 or 2GB memory card and be able to store hundreds of photos.

Bristol Zoo

Another Bank Holiday and time for another day out somewhere, so I decided to revisit a fairly locasl zoo (Bristol) as I’ve not been there in almost 10 years and I have vague memories of them having an underwater bit where you can watch penguins and seals swimming, which was real cool!

I may be getting closer to the big 40, but my memory is still working, the underwater bit is still there…
