hmm, seems like it’s been a wile since I’ve made a post, but I guess that’s because I’ve been enjoying some of the best bits of life, imho, I’ve just had a weeks skiing in the Alps with my kids, it doesn’t get much better than that.
especially since we had fresh snow, and some good sunshine to ski in for a few days.
I even managed to get some work done, the hotel had an internet connection (I checked before going), so I took along my trusty little IBM X40 laptop.
Now I’ve had quite a few laptops over the years, from desktop replacements that weighed too much to really be sconsidered “portable”, to a sony Viao sub notebook that was extremely portable, but lacked a bit in the processing power department.
I’ve now had the x40 for a few months and it’s an absolute joy!
The build qauality is exceptional and it does everything I need and more, although I could do with upgrading the HD, it’s amazing how quickly you can eat up 40GB these days..
So if you’re ever looking for a sub-noteook that is truly portable and yet still packs a punch and can get the job done, as well as being a top quality build, I cannot recommend the X40 enough..

Of course if you’ve got a little more cash to spare then there’s always the newer X41..

and there’s now a new “Tablet” version of the x41 which looks awesome..
