What on earth is WoW?!?

I was chatting with a fellow IMer (“Internet Marketer”) the other day on Skype and happened to mention playing “WoW” with my kids.

He went all quiet for a moment or two, then asked what the heck WoW was.

For those uneducated in online gaming and MMRORPG’s (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Games), WoW is short for World of Warcraft Online, from Blizard Entertainment.

Over the last year or so it has become the most popular online RPG ever with over 7 million playing across the world.

I love it for two reasons, first I can beat up on monsters with my unfeasably large weapon (Fnargh fnargh!), and second it allows me to spend time online with my kids when they’re at home with my ex-wife.

The downside is that it can take forever to develop your character and get up to the high levels.

Which neatly brings me on to the point of this post, Warcraft Power Leveling..

There are some WoW players that spend so much time in the game they have been able to work out the absolute best way of leveling a character as quickly as possible, like from 0-60 in under 5 days game play, which is frankly awesome imho..

A couple of these people also turn out to be budding webheads and have put up sites with complete guides showing how to power level your world of warcraft character step by step, they’ve even gone so far as to video the whole damn process!

As if I could find the time to watch that much video of someone else playing.. LOL!

Anyhoo, you can check out the best of the guides here: -

Second best bit to share, if you love pineapple but hate slicing the buggers up, do a quick search on google for Pineapple Corer, there’s a bunch of them and they’re real neat.

My better half just picked one up last week, and whilst it looked like a “dubious purpose” bit of kit to me, once she demonstarted it at work I was suitably impressed and have since been to the shops to buy a whole bunch of PA’s to practice on..

:)

Last one for the day, if you haven’t got Skype yet, WHY!?!

fer noggins sake, go get it now and tell all your friends that you’ve got it, you’ll love it, especially if yer a bit of a chatter box like me.

N.B. Warning – Do not tell yer mother about it, she’ll be dialing you every five minutes for technical support..

sorry mum.

:)
